Denver Ayres grew up on a large farm in rural North East Indiana. He was raised in and around church through the influence of his father and grandparents. He accepted Christ at a church camp, in nearby Shipshewana, at age 9. Upon graduating high school, he left home to enlist in the Air Force. He was stationed overseas and served in Portugal (Azores), Saudi Arabia, and England. While stationed in England, he went on a mission’s trip to Brasov, Romania, commissioned from his local church. He helped to serve missionaries coming in from all over Eastern Europe. It was during this time that he surrendered to God’s call on his life to full time Christian service.
Pastor Denver has been in full time ministry since 2004. He has served in various capacities and pastoral roles in Indiana, North Carolina, West Virginia, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Florida. Currently he serves as Lead Pastor at Logan Street Baptist Church. While he loves preaching God’s Word and leading a dynamic church staff, he has a huge heart to help all believers grow in their primary responsibility to become disciple makers.
Pastor Denver is a graduate of Trinity Baptist Bible College in Jacksonville, Florida. He has engaged in continuing studies through Liberty University and Trinity Baptist Bible College. He and his wife, Ginny, have been married since 2001. They are the proud parents of three teenage girls: Chloe, Callie, and Carlie.
